Nasara Foundation Appoints Bilkisu Nasir As CEO

A leading Non-Governmental Organization committed to empowering women and girls, and creating a brighter future for youths, Nasara Women Development Foundation also known as Nasara Foundation, has announced the appointment of Hajiya Bilkisu Muhammad Nasir as its new Chief Executive Officer to lead its next stage of development and growth.

Founded two years ago by the First Lady of Kebbi State, Her Excellency Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, Nasara Foundation has grown into a dynamic force advocating for women’s empowerment, education, and youth development.

According to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Alhaji Usman Abubakar, “Hajiya Bilkisu Muhammad Nasir’s exemplary record in strategic leadership, coupled with a profound commitment to community development, position her well to advance the Foundation’s mission. We are confident that her expertise will drive Nasara Foundation to new levels of organizational excellence. With Hajiya Bilkisu taking the helm, our Foundation is poised for continued success and impact.’’

The new Chief Executive Officer brings a wealth of expertise in governance, peace building, and strategic studies to her role, underpinned by an impressive academic background.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Relations from Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja, where she developed a deep understanding of the intricate dynamics of power and governance.

Driven by a passion for knowledge and impactful leadership, she furthered her studies with a Master’s degree in Peace, Conflict, and Strategic Studies from the same institution.

Currently pursuing her PhD in Peace, Conflict, and Strategic Studies at Nile University, Hajiya Bilkisu is committed to advancing Nasara Foundation’s mission to empower communities and foster sustainable development.

Her leadership marks an exciting new chapter for the Foundation as it continues to work towards positive change.

Speaking on her appointment, Hajiya Bilkisu said that, “I am honored and excited to lead Nasara Foundation into its next chapter. My vision is to infuse innovation into our programming to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve. Together with our dedicated team, we will strive for sustainable development that not only empowers youths, women and girls, but also builds resilient communities capable of driving their own progress. This journey is about creating lasting impact, and I am committed to ensuring Nasara Foundation remains a catalyst for positive change.”

Given her leadership style of vision and strategy, Hajiya Bilkisu is expected to lead the organization’s strategic direction, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals.

Her responsibilities include overseeing program development, strengthening partnerships, driving fundraising initiatives, and building a high-performing team.

With a focus on innovation and impact, she will guide Nasara Foundation’s growth and enhance its role as a force for positive change.
