Between The National Assembly And The Jokers Brigade : The Truth Is Still Out There

I don’t deemed it imperative to articulate the toxic posturing and the desperate survival brinkmanship continuously displayed by the jokers regiment of this supposed league of gentlemen (the National Assembly).

It was obvious from the select commentaries of few national leaders still with the weight of integrity like; Prof. Jega that this jokers brigade that has nothing to offer this country beyond the most expensive noise making have adopted comforting policy of collective suicide just like the Japanese Kamee Kazee. It is ironic that these Abuja political jobers and careerists who had lost the legitimacy of constituencies beyond the legislature’s plenary jamboree could still issue a veiled threat of impeachment against the President.

It is needless to say that, it is desperate, despicable as it is laughable because it is the last desperate kick of a dying horse. Albeit this bicameral chamber of infamy had adopted a chapter from a book by Ronen Bergman titled ‘Rise and Kill First’ it seemed, according to Prof. Viet Than in his book titled; The Sympathizers, in a moment of reckless bravado and stubborn courage, to die is easiest act and live is the bravest act (be warned).

The truth is, a legislature that is  enmeshed in debilitating corruption determined to undermine the national anti corruption crusade of Government has lost the moral argument for rule of law albeit in their mentality it means the rule of escape, permit me to say in a needful emphasis that, whoever comes to equity must come with a clean hand. The anticlimax of these treacherous bunch is that, in their self-help thesis, any attempt at justice and accountability is a threat to democracy, Uhum, what a poverty of proposition.

Yours sincerely, accept my sympathies because, Nigerians can today distinguish between theatrics and reality and if you don’t know, the battleline drawn is between the National Assembly and the rest of us Nigerians. Without prejudice, I feel the burden to educate here, your current macabre dance was what the legendary British Foreign Secretary Robin cook called the Bye bye blues in his book The Point of Departure. Finally, let me say that, as we approach the 2019 general elections, with  the almighty card readers and the electronic PVCs, you are welcome to judgement day.
