Head of the Wheelchair Tennis Department of the Nigeria Tennis Federation, NTF Mr. Lateef Shodipo has announced the postponement of the National Wheelchair Tennis Tournament scheduled for March 28th to 31st in Lagos.
Mr. Shodipo said the tournament was postponed because of the National Sports Festivial billed for April 2-14 in Benin City.
According to him, states requested for the postponement to enable them complete all the Covid 19 requirements for the sports festival.
The wheelchair tennis chief said the tournament would now hold immediately after the festival.
“A new date for the tournament would be announced later and that’ll be after the National Sports Festival”, Mr. Shodipo said.
Players from the thirty six states of the federation and Abuja are expected in Lagos to jostle for cash prizes in the tournament sponsored by the president of the NTF, Mr. Dayo Akindoju.
