The General Manager of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency, Prince Ifalade Oyekan, has charged Corp Officers to ensure constant engagement and enlightenment of residents of their respective communities.
Prince Oyekan gave the advice on Tuesday at the LNSA Office at Safety Arena Complex, Bolade, Oshodi during the presentation of Public Address Systems to the 57 Local Government Offices of the Agency’s Corps.
He said, “The people are an essential part of security and our duty is to engage and enlighten them constantly to ensure the communities are safer and more secure for all”.
Oyekan expressed appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu for his overwhelming support for the Agency and its operatives towards enhanced service delivery to the populace and the attainment of its core mandate in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the present administration.
“We cannot thank Mr. Governor enough for his vision of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda and his support demonstrated through the periodic procurement and distribution of requisite working tools for the Agency’s onerous statutory responsibility”, the General Manager stated.
Oyekan also seized the opportunity to advise recipients of the public address systems that the Agency will intensify its monitoring mechanism to ensure that the Corp Officers deliver quality services to the people, adding that the agency’s warning against absenteeism and abandonment of duties still stands.
Representatives of all the recipients expressed gratitude to the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu while promising that the equipment will be used judiciously.
