New Chairman, Comrade AKOD Appreciates Ikeja People

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has extended his heartfelt appreciation to the good people of Ikeja for the overwhelming support, love, and solidarity shown during his swearing-in and the grand reception that followed.

 

The Council Chairman is especially grateful to the leadership of the governing party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), from the grassroots mobilizers to top-ranking party stalwarts for their unwavering belief in his vision and the Renewed Hope Agenda for Ikeja.

 

He also appreciated the religious bodies; both Christian and Muslim communities for their prayers, blessings, and moral support throughout the journey. AKOD gave special thanks go to royal fathers and traditional institutions for their presence, wisdom, and continued support in the spirit of peace and development.

 

The new Ikeja Council Chairman acknowledged the civil society organizations, advocacy groups, youth leaders, and all community stakeholders for their engagement and strong presence at the event, which truly reflected the unity and diversity of Ikeja.

 

He was full of praise for all family members, friends, and well-wishers, both near and far, who joined in the celebration or sent warm messages through phone calls, texts, and social media, saying their gestures were deeply felt and sincerely appreciated.

 

As he assumes office, Hon. AKOD once again assures the people of Ikeja of his unwavering commitment to good governance. He pledged to work with utmost diligence, integrity, and transparency to ensure that Ikeja’s resources are judiciously utilized for the collective good of all residents.
