Newspaper publishers in Akwa Ibom State, have announced their official endorsement of Governor Udom Emmanuel for a second term in 2019.

Coming under the aegis of League of Newspaper Publishers, the journalists cited the numerous development projects of the current leadership of Governor Emmanuel and reasoned that it was in the interest of the state for all them to rally support as strategic partners in the Governor’s development scheme.

The publishers whose position was read by the Chairman of the Management Committee of the league, Comrade Ernest Akpan said further that, they were confounded by the Governor’s skills in navigating the economy of the State through the trying times of the global oil recession that rocked the country three years ago.

“The league notes with great delight and sense of responsibility your numerous strides in pursuit of people-oriented projects in the state.”

They pledged to partner the Governor and market his brand of leadership as the best for the state in 2019.

“As 2019 beckons, we are committed to deploying our resources and goodwill to ensure that you are re-elected as Governor of this State.”

This, they promised to do through continuous statewide tour of projects executed by the administration and projecting of the reforms in the state through the respective platforms, as part of their corporate goals of promoting good governance and ensuring collective growth of the State.
