NFF Boss Celebrates His Birthday With Football Academies In Lagos

Vice President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi on 29th December 2021 hosted more than two hundred young players from age of 12 till 15 years old to mark his birthday.

The Lagos FA Boss added a year to his age yesterday as well-wishers club owners, sports administrators, club owners, friends, FA Board members and other football stakeholders were in attendance to rejoice with the celebrant.

Akinwunmi who was delighted to see another year in good health told Journalists that he was grateful to God who spared his life and thanked the football family for their supports and prayers sent to him on his birthday.

Akinwunmi said he always celebrates his birthday with football academies every year saying that most of the players need support and encouragement that can propel them to move forward in their football career.

“I am overwhelmed with the text messages I received from well-wishers, friends and football family. I am happy today because I am added a year to my age. I did not celebrate my birthday like this last year because of COVID-19 but today [Wednesday} I am here in midst of the young players to mark my birthday. I wish myself happy birthday,” he said.

Some of the dignitaries who came to celebrate with the celebrant described him as a generous person who is also passionate about young people. They prayed and wished him many years in good health.

Meanwhile, Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation Scholarship presented the sum of N150, 000 to Odebode Omolara Damilola to assist her education.

Odebode who attends Technical College, Epe thanked the foundation for its support and promised that the money would be used for her education and personal needs.

At the birthday event, various academies such as Right Football Academy, Leo Academy and a host of others had a nice time as they were given drinks, food and gift items for taking their tight schedules to celebrate with the celebrant.

An upcoming performing musician, Sanni Hussein Opemipo who entertained the crowds congratulated the birthday celebrant for adding a year. He said the celebrant is a man of people and prayed that God would give him sound health to see more years to celebrate.

Opemipo popularly known as Fash Boy Omo Alhaja said he is happy that his song is acceptable by the people boasting that he would become one of the famous musician not only in Nigeria but world at large in the nearest future.
