Aiteo’s Senior Manager in charge of Corporate Communications, Mr. Ndiana-Abasi Matthew, has described the Corporate Sponsor Award which the company won in Nigeria Pitch Awards as a testimony to the fact that the coming of Aiteo into Nigerian football is a blessing.

Aiteo Group, the nation’s foremost energy solutions company, beat the duo of Nigerian Breweries Plc and Coca Cola Plc to the Corporate Sponsor Awards during the Nigeria Pitch Awards ceremony held at the Le Meridien Ogeyi Palace, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Aiteo Group and other winners of this year’s Awards were picked through a transparent voting process monitored by the SIAO Partners.

Speaking to PM EXPRESS after Aiteo Group received the award from the organisers in Lagos, Mr. Ndiana-Abasi Matthew, said that Nigerians should not expect nothing less from a winning team at the Aiteo Group, which came into Nigerian football not quite long, and has been receiving great award like the Nigeria Pitch Awards.

Aieto Group had in April last year unveiled a N2.8 billion sponsorship package with Nigeria Football Federation, NFF. The package was a 5-year deal which kicked off on May 1, 2017 and was valued at N500 million annually with an initial one-year renewal option.

“The Corporate Sponsor Award was a reward for a good work being done by the Aiteo Group in the development of Nigerian football. Our involvement in the sponsorship of football in Nigeria came at the right time when the game in the country needs a world class company like ours to inject life into the system.

“Our intervention was to bring life back to Nigerian football and to take sports development from the grassroots. This is our Corporate Social Responsibility and winning awards within a short period of time we came in shows that we have a winning team at Aiteo Group that strives for excellence at all time, ” Mr Ndiana-Abasi Matthew said.

Going forward he said he looks forward to seeing Nigeria’s Super Eagles making it to the quarter final stage of Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.
