Nigeria Pitch Awards Voting Process Kicks Off 1 December

The voting process for the 9th edition of Nigeria Pitch Awards will commence on Thursday, 1 December 2022, the organiser, Matchmaker Consult has announced.
President of Nigeria Pitch Awards, Mr Shina Phillips told a media conference in Lagos during the week that voting will end on 16 January 2023, while the announcement of nominees will be made on 21 February 2023 with the award ceremony slated for the month of March.
Phillips said the organisers remain committed to the core principles of credibility, transparency and integrity of the awards.
He said: “From inception, we set out by adopting a voting system that is transparent. Our voters, who are sports editors, and journalists cross the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, our partners, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the SIAO Partners have remained committed to the success of the Nigeria Pitch Awards.”
According to him, the success story of Nigeria Pitch Awards over the years could not be possible without the support from the sporting press which have continued to project the good philosophy and vision of the awards.
“We the active support of our partners and members of the press, we have continued to sustain this incredible platform which rewards footballers, administrators, coaches, clubs, sponsors and journalists for the industry, commitment and passion for the game and for the nation.
“In nine years, the Nigeria Pitch Awards has become the longest running football awards in Nigerian history. We share this success with the Nigerian media and our other partners.
“I can boldly state that we all share one thing in common: we all love the game of football and are working towards making Nigeria a great footballing nation,” Phillips said.
