<strong><em>The late Nigerian judo legend, Professor Alexander Olakintan Alfred de-Souza</em> </strong>
The remains of Nigerian judo legend, Professor Alexander Olakintan Alfred de-Souza who passed on to the grave on 21 February 2024 will be laid to rest in Lagos on Wednesday 17 April 2024.
According to the information made public by the family of the deceased who had contributed a great quota to the development of judo in Nigeria and indeed on the black continent of Africa, a service of sons would be held for him at the Cross Cathedral Parish Hall Monday 15 April between 5 and 6 pm, while wake keep holds on Tuesday at the Alfred Martins Hall of St’ Leo’s Catholic Chruch, Toyin Street, Ikeja, Lagos from 4:30 pm to 6 pm.
The family says the late Prof. Alfred de-Souza will be committed to Mother Earth on Wednesday at the Holy Cross Cathedral Church, 14 Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island by 10 am, while interment follows after the service at the Ikoyi Cemetery.
Prof Alfred de-Souza was survived by Oluwagbemiga de-Souza, Mrs Olakunbi Deborah Aremo and Mary-Claire de-Souza who are all his daughters as well as sister and brother.
