Further to a recent online article in which one Mr Tunde Onile-Ere claimed to be a shareholder of Platform Capital and seeking to set the record straight, a check at the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC revealed there’s no such name on the records of the body.

According to CAC records, the “Mr Tunde Onile-Ere” is neither on the list of shareholders of Platform Capital or Duport Midstream Company Limited.

“This false claim by Mr Tunde Onile-Ere surely defeats and renders useless all other claims that he makes in this article,” a source at the Commission stated.

He added; “Therefore, Onile-Ere’s further claims that there are “multiple petitions and complaints against Akindele which disclose allegations of illegality, disregard for corporate rules and corporate governance, and other allegations bordering on potentially criminal conduct” must be questioned and surely can not hold any validity

“It is alarming that Mr Onile-Ere asks the public to “disregard alleged peddling of falsehoods”, when he is also peddling inaccurate information about his shareholding in Platform Capital or Duport Midstream Company Limited.”

A top official of Duport Midstream also stated that “Dr. Akindele has supported the ongoing investigation as he has nothing to hide and is not obstructing any audit of the company”.

He added that “Dr. Akindele is still being illegally detained contrary to the article’s claim that he has been released.

“In this continued back and forth, we believe that it is necessary for claims to be supported by evidence to allow the public to ascertain the truth based on facts and not just conjecture.”
