The second module of 2022/2023 Session of the OS/NOC Advanced Sports Management Course which held online from Tuesday 4th to Thursday 6th October, 2022 had ended in Lagos.
Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, the President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) while addressing participants enjoined them to be a worthy administrators as the NOC continues to build a virile and strong sports administrators in Nigeria.
The course, which is an initiative of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) through Olympic Solidarity and the National Olympic Committee, is designed to equip sports administrators with the knowledge and tools that will help bring about changes and improvements in their sports organisations.
Also, It will help stakeholders develop, maintain solid and sustainable administrative structures that can deliver the support needed by the administrators and the athletes they will relate with.
The course manual is based on Managing Olympic Sports organization and it comprises six chapters divided into five modules.
This edition of the course was a combination of physical and virtual and was anchored by the two International Olympic Committee Certified Course Directors, Prof. Clement Fasan and Dr. Dyagas Jonathan, and other invited speakers.
