This was the feeling today that set the ambience for what will go down in the history books of St. Pope John Paul II Seminary, Okpuno. According to the Rector and other Formators of the school, today is the first time they are receiving a State Governor since the establishment of the seminary school.
During the homily, which centered on the life and times of Pope John Paul II, the Priest alluded to the primacy of selfless leadership as the foundation for turning the course of history and affecting humanity positively.
The Rev’d Father Professor Peter Damian Akpunonu, recounted the horrendous experience of spending over 45minutes on the road from Unizik temp-site to Okpuno leading into the seminary, and how a major transformation on same route has reduced the travel time to just 5minutes today as a testament to how leaders must prioritize the welfare of their people.
From the Mass on his way back home, the Traders around the goodwill junction halted the Governor’s convoy in profound joy of sighting the man who has provided great solution to their problem.
