The Divisional Police Officer, Ago Police Division, Okota in Lagos, CSP Oyin Frances .A, was bestowed with an award for her prompt responses in the bid to prevent crimes in the area.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the award was given to her by a media outfit known as Voice of Nigeria News based in Lagos.

The publisher of the media organisation, Mrs. Princess Agbonife, said that CSP Oyin was given the award because of the way she had managed security of lives and property with prompt responses and to encourage her to do more.
This came after the DPO busted several armed robbers including one of the deadly notorious car vandal that had been terrorizing car owners in the State.
The suspect, Fatai Adesina, was busted after he went to Ago area and was arrested promptly by the police.
On 12/10/2018 at about 2010hrs one Fatah Adesina was caught at 13/15 community road Ago, Okota, Lagos where he vandalised a Toyota corolla car and removed the brain box; four control buttons of the car belonging to one Peter Chigbo. He confessed that that was his fourth operation and that he had operated in Maryland, Anthony and Ijesha area of Lagos.
Another set of robbers were earlier busted after the police received a distress call at Ago palace division.
The robbers who came in two Toyota Camry cars had gained entrance to a Tecno phone shop at 116/118 Ago Palace way, in the same Okota where the division is located. The robbers entered through the main door by cutting all the padlocks. They were said to have disconnected the alarm and went straight to the strong room. But as they were trying to break the strong room’s door, the police arrived, opened fire and they escaped.
However, the police managed to arrest one of the suspects hit by a straight bullet and detained him at the police station but he was later transferred to FSARS for further investigations.
The vehicles were recovered as exhibit and parked at the police station.
These were some of the achievements of the police at Okota division that conferred merit award on the DPO.
