The APGA Senatorial aspirant for Anambra South Senatorial District, Sir Akachukwu Sullivan Nwankpo, on Sunday expressed shock at the death of the Anambra State Lawmaker, Dr. Okey Okoye, whom he described him as an exemplar in legislation.
Nwankpo said in a statement issued in Awka, the State capital, that the demise of the lawmaker was painful. He added that the wisdom and wealth of experience of the late Lawmaker would be sorely missed.
Nwankpo expressed his condolences to the immediate family of the Dr Okoye, the Government of Anambra State as well as the Members of Anambra State House of Assembly.
“The news of the death of Dr. Okoye came as a shock. His exit at this time is painful to say the least. His wealth of experience, his immense wisdom and his commitment to seeing a greater Aguata Constituency 11, and a better Anambra State are unrivalled.”
“Anambra State, Nigeria and humanity at large will miss Dr Okey Okoye, who was ever ready to give his all to see a better society.’’ he said
