The succour coming the way of ailing former Nigerian international, Henry Nwosu (MON) has been described as a humanitarian assistance that would gone a long way to save a life.

Ex-Eagle, Segun Odegbami (MON), few days ago revealed how the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has stepped in to see that Nwosu was transferred from Delta State to Lagos to get good medical attention, while he also mentioned the effort of telecommunication giant, Globacom, members of the St. Finbarr’s College Old Students Association among others, which are also interested in assisting ailing former coach of the Golden Eaglets who had been on sick bed since February this year.

“All this put together is a welcome development that our own Henry Nwosu would soon get back to his feet,” said Ms Olatutu Oladunni, the Chairperson of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos chapter in a statement in Lagos on Thursday
.
“We are particularly glad that the sports loving governor of our state, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in his usual magnanimity, is reaching out to Nwosu for him to get top-notch medical attention in Lagos. It is well commendable, and we thank the governor for this. We want to also commend other institutions, Globacom, St. Finbarr’s College Old Students Association for their interest and a host of all other personalities, not to forget the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Mr Ibrahim Gusau.

“The role play by our indefatigable ex-international, Mr Segun Odegbami (MON), who has been showing brotherly love to his colleague in the national team that, not now you must not die. This is the high level of humanitarian assistance we can do to our fellow human who is in dire need of our love. Thank you Mr Odegbami, the Lagos sports journalists commend your efforts so far,” Oladunni said.

She, however, reached out to members of Lagos SWAN to take a cue of how Odegbami has been a rallying support to Nwosu, adding that ‘we must all be our brothers and sisters’ keepers all the time.”
