Their performances on the boxing ring showcased the state government efforts in promoting grassroots sports; the ability of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for ensuring that the athletes get the right platform to demonstrate their grit and strength in a venture that tends to shape careers to become wholesome ambassadors.

Winning all the gold medals available in the boxing event is a testament to the significant role of the state of aquatic splendour in giving the right opportunities for budding talents to thrive.

In football, Lagos girls were too powerful for Bayelsians as their impressive display saw the Eko girls retaining the title won in the previous edition after a two to nil score line in the final played at St.Patrick Secondary School Asaba.

The encounter between Lagos and Bayelsa proved the girls from the commercial nerve center of the country, were determined, focused and persevere with the ways and manners they held their opponents at bay at all the strategic positions on the field of play.

Lagos girls did not leave any stone unturned in their face off with Kaduna as the level of their defence, attacks and shots in front of goals were marvelous.

With their golden hockey sticks they ran a wonderful campaign without loosing a match en route to the final before Muinat lone goal condemned their opponents to settle for the second position.
