LUCKY LAWAL

His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, on Thursday in Lagos advocated for death penalty for people involved in cultism, ritual, murder, corruption and terrorism.

Speaking during the Annual Lecture/Awards for 2019 organized by the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, (CRAN), Oba Akanbi said that until those involved in all forms of corruption related issues and criminals are made to face the severe wrath of the law, investors will not be encouraged to come to Nigeria to invest.

“Nigeria has the potential, the market and population to clean up the Country of these social vices and our President,Muhammadu Buhari; like the late Muritala Muhammed, has taken the lead in the anti- corruption war and everybody must join the war, Oba Akanbi said.

He further explained that until these social ills are tackled, they could still remain Wild, Wild, West.
