A 46-year old suspect, Kolawole Dada shockingly broke down in tears after he was arraigned before a Lagos court for stealing money, protesting that he only obtained under false pretence, popularly know as OBT.
Ondo State-born Dada said in the open court that he was been wrongly charged because what he does was not stealing but only obtaining money from people by trick.
Dada’s logic even shocked the court officials and litigants present in court who thought the offence was the same and he did not even show any remorse.
The father of three kids told P.M.EXPRESS that he became jobless and had to survive by obtaining from victims under false pretence because he does not like stealing.
He blamed the police for charging him with stealing whereas he only do the business of obtaining from the victims.

The incident happened at 165, Idimu Road, Egbeda, Lagos where the victim own a spare parts shop.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered from the victim that Dada came to his shop with a Police identity card and radio and told him that the police wanted to auction some motorcycles.
He asked the victim to deposit some money which he did.
Our correspondent gathered that when the time Dada told the victim he will supply the motorcycles passed, the victim did not hear from him neither did he supply the motorcycle.
The matter was reported to the police at Ejigbo division who trailed and arrested him.
At the state, Dada reportedly told the police that he was not a police officer nor have any contact on any actions, saying he only obtained from the victim.
He was charged to court and he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N20.000 with two sureties in like sum.
Dada was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
