It was an evening of encomiums and accolades as the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, was yesterday honoured with the award of “Exceptional Goal Oriented Personality” at an award ceremony tagged “The Plaudit”, which was organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (Lagos West) to recognize and reward trailblazers and outstanding personalities contributing towards youth development.
Represented by the dutiful Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Olaide John Bello, at the award ceremony, Hon Segun David Odunmbaku was selected and honoured for his commitment and contributions towards influencing policy making for youth development and advancement.
Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, in his appreciation speech as conveyed by Hon Olaide John Bello, while speaking to newsmen said the award ceremony by the youth organization was laudable and remarkable as it portrayed and showcased the celebration and veneration of excellence, which should be sustained.
He further promised that the Olusegun Odunmbaku administration of Ojodu LCDA would continue to promote youth inclusion and representation while working closer with youth organizations as partners in progress and development.
Other awardees at the ovation filled occasion were the Senator representing Lagos West, Senator Oluranti Adebule, Commisioner For Youths and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Chairmen of Local Governments across Lagos West and coordinators of the NYCN.
