The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed deep grief and sadness over the demise of the Women Leader, Arabirin Yetunde Shakirat Adesanya.
In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Nuberu Adesanya Olufemi, the APC said, “It is with deep sorrow and total submission to the will of Almighty God that the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogun State Chapter, announces the sudden passing of our esteemed member, Chief (Mrs.) Hon. Yetunde Shakira Adesanya, which occurred on Friday, 29th May, 2026”.
“Until her demise, Chief (Mrs.) Adesanya served the party diligently and with unwavering commitment as the South West Women Leader of our great party. Her contributions to the growth and strengthening of the APC, particularly in advancing women’s participation in politics and governance, will be fondly remembered and greatly cherished.”
“She is survived by her aged mother, children, and other loved ones. She was 65 years old.”
“The leadership and members of the party extend heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, political associates, and all those affected by this painful loss.”
“We pray that Almighty God grants her eternal rest and gives the family she left behind the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
