Ogun West Baales Endorse Abiodun For Second Term, Want Senator Adeola As Their Senator

Over 300 Baales (traditional community leaders) from the five LGAs of Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State have endorsed Prince Dapo Abiodun for Second Term as Governor of Ogun State while calling on Senator Solomon Adeola, Chairman Senate Committee of Finance to contest to represent Ogun West in 2023.

The meeting took place at Frontier Hotel, Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.  

In a communique signed by five representatives from each of the LGAs of Yewa South, Yewa North, Imeko Afon, Ado Odo Ota and Ipokia, over the weekend, the Baales stated that: 

1. That the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, has demonstrated commitment to improve the socioeconomic circumstance of Ogun West Senatorial District through project interventions (ongoing and completed) and welfare packages to improve the standard of living of the people.

 2. That His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun is implored to ensure the completion of all ongoing projects in the 5 Local Government Areas of Ogun West before the next General election as a further demonstration of his commitment to Ogun West. 

3. That in view of the impressive performance of Prince Dapo Abiodun as Governor of Ogun State in the last 3 years, the body of Ogun West Council of Baales has fully endorsed his reelection as Governor of Ogun State. The body therefore, pledge to mobilise the people to vote for Prince Dapo Abiodun in the upcoming 2023 gubernatorial election if he is presented as the candidate of the party. 

4. That in view of demonstrated excellent performance and political network of one of our sons presently representing Lagos West Senatorial District at the Senate; Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, we hereby declare our support for the transfer of his political activities to his root in Ogun West. 

5. That we fully endorse the ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola to represent Ogun West Senatorial District in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and will fully support his election at the upcoming 2023 National Assembly election once he becomes the candidate of the party.  

6. That the private companies operating in Ogun West Senatorial District should move closer to the people and improve in their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the communities where they operate.
