The President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, has warned the Igbo to desist from consituting nuisance by making unguided utterances that will cause disunity and animosity among the Igbo in the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chief Aguene stated this on the heels of comments made by the factional President of Igbo Speaking Community, Lagos State, Chief Sunday Udeh.
Chief Udeh had stated that his faction of Igbo Speaking Community has canceled all the Ezendigbo crowned by Ohanaeze Ndigbo and warned them to desist from parading themselves as Igbo leaders across the State.
Chief Aguene described such statement as reckless, irresponsible and displaying of rascality by Udeh.
Chief Aguene asked, “who is Udeh and who gave him such authority to display such rascality aimed to draw attention?” He said Udeh’s comment, which was meant to mislead members of the public, was unnecessary and likely to cause crises among the Igbo in Lagos State.
He urged the members of the public to disregard Udeh because he cannot speak for Ndigbo nor have authority to cancel Ezendigbo crowned by Ohanaeze in Lagos State.
Aguene explained that Igbo Speaking community was a club formed by few people, which they used to hustle to make ends meet and can never speak for the Igbo in the State.
He described Chief Udeh as a “passenger” in Igbo leadership in Lagos, who had been using his factional group to exort money from innocent people because his faction has no single identified Local Government Area and Ward members like the superior factional Leader of Igbo Community led by Chief Sunday Eze.
He warned that if he repeats such statement in the future, Ohanaeze will move against him and get him arrested for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace, stressing that Udeh cannot even speak for Igbo Community, which has five different factions led by different leaders, which Udeh is the least among them.
Chief Aguene explained that Ohanaeze Ndigbo is the Apex Igbo organization, that was created and championed by the great patriarchs -Late Akanu Ibiam,  Nnamdi Azikiwe and many others, which was formed after the dissolution of Igbo Union during the Civil War.
He explained that Ohanaeze Ndigbo has been championing and promoting Igbo culture and tradition worldwide and have established Ezendigbo in diaspora to foster unity and peace among the Igbo.
He wondered how Udeh would be talking about Ezendigbo at this political critical period for Ndigbo in Lagos State and indeed Nigeria and urged the public and indeed to disregard him and continue to do their businesses in peace and harmony in Lagos State.
