The Apex Igbo organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State led by the current President, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, has lambasted Chief Sunday Ossai,  Eze Uche Dimgba, Eze Chris Offia and others over their purported endorsement of PDP Governorship Candidate, Jandor, in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chief Ogbonna Aguene carpeted them while he was reacting over the alleged shameless sharing of money and cow meat at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos by the self acclaimed factional leader of Ohanaeze, Chief Sunday Ossai to some Ezendigbo led by Eze Chris Offia and Eze Uche Dimgba.
It was confirmed that each of the Ezendigbo who went to the stadium was given two kilos of cow meat and cash gifts of an undisclosed amount as part of their share in the endorsement saga.
This was disclosed by Chief Thompson Ohia, who is the Chief of Staff to the Ohanaeze President, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene. He described their conduct as political suicide by playing double game because of money.
Chief Thompson explained that Ohanaeze Ndigbo knew that those set of people were of shady characters and that was why Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene weeded them out from Igbo traditional stools and created Supreme Council of Ezendigbo in Lagos State led by Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze as Chairman while Eze Vincent Iwobi is the deputy after careful screening.
“Many of those parading themselves as Igbo traditional rulers are crooks and fraudsters. It is in such groups that you will hear such names as Alhaji Salami Kambo, the name notorious for fraudulent activities, yet they are parading as Ezendigbo in Lagos State.”
Chief Ohia, who holds the chieftaincy title of Ugwu Mba, stated that he was not surprised that those set of people will betray Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the APC at both State and Federal levels because their stock in trade is betrayal.
He reiterated the earlier stand of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State led by Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene that the Igbo people in Lagos State will support Governor Sanwo-Olu’s second tenure bid and Asiwaju Tinubu’s candidacy for the presidency including all the APC candidates.
On the issue of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Political Forum inaugurated and led by Chief Chris Ekwilo, Chief Ohia explained that it was not new noting that it has been in existence since 2007 when the former president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, late John Nzewi, created it because Ohanaeze Ndigbo is an apolitical organization and their mandate was to advise Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State on political matters, which they had done and advised Ndigbo to support the APC in Lagos State.
He also explained that the Supreme Council of traditional rulers in Lagos State is highest authority in Lagos State to decide on matters that have to do with Igbo culture and tradition and their decision was final stressing that the name Supreme was used just like Supreme Court of Nigeria or Ultimate plaza and has nothing to do with the Supreme God as being purportedly claimed by members of the cabals to mislead members of the public.
