The former General Secretary of Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Thompson Ohia and now Chief of Staff of the current President, Chief Solomon Aguene, has lambasted Chief Sunday Ossai and members of the cabals, who swindled Ossai to make him Ohaneze President by telling lies to the public that Ohanaeze Political Forum has never existed before.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chief Ohia, who was a two-term  Ohanaeze Secretary to late John Nzewi and Chief Oliver Akubueze, stated this on the heels of the false claim sponsored by Chief Ossai through one self-acclaimed Eze Remigius Anyamele that Ohanaeze Political Forum has never been in existence in Lagos State.
Ohia stated that in 2007, the former President, late Chief Nzewi, with the decision of the General Assembly formed Ohanaeze Political Forum and the Chairman was Chief Kambel Umeh with other members. And Umeh was among the 22-man Lagos State Party Exco inaugurated by the then Lagos State Governor,  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He urged members of the public to disregard the statement credited to Anyamele, who claimed to be an Eze but cannot provide any proof or certificate that he was crowned Ezendigbo in any Local Government in Lagos State.
Chief Ohia regretted that some Igbo people, who are members of the cabals, have decided to constitute nuisance in Lagos State by continuing to tell lies in order to deceive members of the public to justify the millions of Naira they swindled Chief Ossai to make him a non-vacant Ohaneze Ndigbo President in Lagos State.
He said that Ossai was quietly and peacefully doing his yam business at Mile 12 before members of the cabals brought him out to make him President without informing him that there was subsisting Court Judgment, which gave Chief Solomon Aguene till 2026 as President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State.
He said that it was after members of the cabals had organised a kangaroo election and Ossai was sworn in, that he realised that Chief Aguene still has more years to stay in office as President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State.
Chief Ohia explained that Ohanaeze Political Forum was formed by Chief Aguene just like any other Ohanaeze Committee such as Prayer Committee, Entertainment Committee, Supreme Council of Traditional rulers,  Elders Council etc.
He stated that Aguene was aware that Ohanaeze was highly apolitical because no executive members of Ohanaeze will contest elections in political parties and he created the Political Forum to reach out to politicians and Parties in matters of politics in Lagos State while he faces sociocultural affairs of Ndigbo in Lagos State.
Chief Ohia stated that Aguene has the backing and massive support of Ndigbo in Lagos State because he is an honest man and has demonstrated that he is a leader, who is passionate about the welfare and interest of Ndigbo in Lagos State.
He reiterated Aguene’s commitment to continue to support the Lagos State Governor,  Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC both at the State and National levels while stating that Ndigbo in Lagos State will not allow some of the disgruntled Igbo to dent the cordial relationship which exist between Ndigbo, the Lagos State Government and APC in the State.
