As part of the Executive’s oversight functions, the Chairman Of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon Segun David Odunmbaku, yesterday presented the 2024 proposed Budget tagged “Community Driven Budget” to the legislature of the council at the legislative chambers in the secretariat, Oke-Ira Ogba.
Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, in his speech while addressing legislators and dignitaries at the budget presentation, said his administration remains committed towards enhancing the quality of life of the citizen through its policy thrust with the focus on key components of the H.E.Y.S Agenda which represents Health, Education, Youth & Women Empowerment and Social Infrastructure.
“We are mindful of the need to ensure continuous provision of dividend of democracy for our people as our own obligation for their freely given mandate to us. We are also determined to protect and consolidate on our achievements recorded so far.”
Allocated for the proposed budget is N3.539 billion, which the Mayor said was well planned and clearly outlined people’s programs and projects while wishing the legislators fruitful deliberations over the appropriation bill.
In his remarks, Leader Of The House, Hon Opeyemi Apatira, said the legislative arm will prioritize key sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure and Social Services in its appropriation responsibilities based on feedback and needs expressed by constituents.
At the budget presentation were Vice Chairman, Hon Bunmi Oluyadi, SLG, Hon Olaide John Bello, Party Chieftains, Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders, Executive Council Members and Management Team.
