The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, today hosted officials from the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) for a stakeholder engagement on the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Purple Line project.
The LAMATA team, in collaboration with Global Impact Environmental Consulting Limited, visited Ojodu LCDA as part of the environmental and social impact assessment required by the Federal Ministry of Environment.
Hon. Odunmbaku commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for prioritizing intermodal transportation, emphasizing the Purple Line’s role in improving connectivity. Spanning 57km from Redemption Camp in Ogun State to Volkswagen along Lagos-Badagry Expressway, the rail line will feature 17 stations and integrate with the Red, Blue and Yellow Lines.
Led by Dr. Babatunde Osho, the LAMATA team highlighted the importance of stakeholder engagement in project execution and Ojodu LCDA pledged full support for the initiative, ensuring seamless implementation for improved urban mobility in Lagos State.
