Honourable Segun Odunmbaku, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, recently visited the ongoing “See A Doctor” free medical outreach, a significant initiative under the Health Development pillar of the H.E.Y.S Agenda.
This outreach programme, which has successfully treated 144 residents, consisting 77 males and 49 females across different ages, aims to improve healthcare access within Ojodu LCDA by providing comprehensive medical services at no cost.
The programme includes free pre-screening, surgery and post-surgery care, all managed by top medical professionals. Services offered encompass excisional biopsies, ganglion cyst removals, hydrocele hernia treatments and breast lump removals, utilizing advanced medical facilities.
Mrs. Abimbola Mabogunje, Lagos State Permanent Secretary of Health for District 6, praised Hon. Odunmbaku for his exceptional dedication to public health and recommended the continuation of the programme.
The outreach operates every Tuesday from 9 am to 4 pm for screenings, while surgical procedures are conducted every Wednesday during the same hours at the Ogba Primary Health Care Center. The facility benefits from both solar and generator power provided by the administration, ensuring uninterrupted service.
Hon. Odunmbaku reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents through this program, highlighting its alignment with both the Lagos State Government’s and his administration’s social security and healthcare objectives.
