Chairperson of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, yesterday hosted women from the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the LCDA at the Council Secretariat aimed to foster stronger ties between the government and the APC Women’s wing.
During the event, Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku expressed her gratitude for the continuous support of the APC women within the LCDA. She emphasized the pivotal role women play in driving positive change and development within their wards and communities.
APC Chairperson, Alhaja Stella Kokumo and Women Leader, Alhaja Bukky Badmus, also appreciated and reiterated the commitment of the Olusegun Odunmbaku administration to inclusive governance, ensuring that the voices of women are heard and their concerns addressed in policy-making processes.
In her remarks, Mrs. Odunmbaku outlined several upcoming projects and past initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare and empowerment of women in Ojodu LCDA. These include skill acquisition programmes, women entrepreneurship schemes, free medical outreaches, health awareness campaigns and insurance schemes tailored to address the unique needs of women in Ojodu LCDA.
At the event, which provided a platform of engagement for party women, were the Supervisor For WAPA, Hon Folake Adams, Supervisor For Community Engagement, Hon Jemilat Badru and SA For Budget, Hon Fola Shonola.
