Ojodu LCDA Citizens Enjoy Subsidized Food Items As Hon. Odunmbaku Marks 2 Years In Office

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon. Olusegun Odunmbaku, today began the celebration of “Two Years In Office” with the sale of highly subsided food items to the residents.

The event, which took place at the Council Secretariat, Oke-ira, would complement the palliative efforts of both the State and Federal Governments.

As the food items were sold at the subsidised rate of 1000 Naira each, many residents trooped out to celebrate the administration’s Two Years In Office, and benefited from the bountiful bazaar of food palliatives on display at various exhibition stands in the Council hall.


While delivering his speech at the event, Hon. Odunmbaku gave the account of stewardship since assuming 2 years ago, and cited the various developmental strides recorded by his administration. He also reiterated his commitment to further  implement programmes and initiatives aimed at improving lives of Ojodu LCDA residents.

In the same vein, he spoke about sustainable developments initiatives achieved through his H.E.Y.S Agenda (Health, Education, Youth and Women Development, Social And Infrastructural Development), such as  upgrading of Primary Health Centers, Provision of Free GCE and Jambs Forms, Capacity Building and Empowerment Programmes for youths and Women, Provision of vehicles to Security formations and Infrastructural renewal across Ojodu and environs.

The Ojodu Mayor highlighted the various partnership and collaborations with private institutions and non-governmental organizations to provide Free Medical Missions for residents with Rotary Club,Water and Sanitation facilities for schools markets and health centers with PEPSICO, vocational training for youths with KENNOL and others that have continued to foster socioeconomic development of the LCDA.

Delighted residents, who bought the items, were full of joy and praises as they took home subsidised foodstuff and also commended the Mayor for his interventions to ease conditions of the people through the free buses that would further improve the welfare of the people.


At the event were the Chairperson, Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, Vice Chairman, Hon Bunmi Oluyadi, SLG, Hon Olaide John Bello, Supervisors, Councillors, Party Chieftains and Traditional Leaders, and residents.
