Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, has extended its desilting exercise to Ayanleye Street, Okeira Ward C, as part of ongoing sanitation efforts to prevent flooding and maintain clean drainage systems.
The initiative, backed by the local youth and community leaders, aims to clear blocked drains, improve water flow and reduce flood risks. The Ward C Councillor, Hon. Gbenga Opebi, highlighted the importance of community collaboration, fostering ownership.
Residents of the area have lauded the exercise for its positive impact. The Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Olawale Abdulsalam, affirmed that the project would continue across all wards, ensuring a clean, safe environment for Ojodu LCDA residents.
