In line with the world best practices, several contractors converged at Ojodu LCDA Conference Room to open the bids earlier submitted in respect of the construction of Adeshina/Adeniyi Road, Oke-ira Lagos.
The construction is part of the efforts of Hon. Segun Odunmbaku’s administration to support the developmental strides of the State Government as packaged in the THEMES Agenda. Thus, it is one of the 114 roads to be constructed across the 57 LGs/LCDAs in the State.
Therefore, the bids opening is a statutory exercise that requires the opening of sealed bids that had been submitted by contending contractors. In order to ensure fairness and transparency, the documents of each submitted envelope (bid) were clearly revealed and scrutinized in the presence of all the representatives of the contending companies.
All the representatives of the companies who bidded for the construction (Olag Nigeria LTD, Odega Nigeria LTD, De-Arcile and Rockdom Nigeria PLC) were satisfied with the bids opening process.
Likewise, the Chairman of the bid-opening Committee, Engr. Mrs Bunmi Akitoye (represented by the Vice Chairman), assured of transparency and strict adherence to the public procurement and contractual modalities.
Also present at the event were the Vice Chairman/Tender Board Chairman, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, Council Engineer, Engr. John Dawodu, Legal Officer, Barr. Afolabi Kalejaiye, HOD Budget, Mrs.Folake Thompson, and Procurement Officer, Mrs. Oladele Shijuola.
