The two days retreat organized by Ojodu LCDA in preparation for 2023 Fiscal Year was concluded with departmental activities defense, analysis of overall budget, lectures on the new budget template, contactless payment for levy collection using paycode, and gala night.
The entire Executive Committee and Management team eulogized the Executive Chairman, Hon David Olusegun Odunmbaku, for his tenacity, remarkable leadership, and for having the interest of the staff and good people of Ojodu LCDA at heart through the actualization of his HEYS (Health, Education, Youth empowerment and Social Infrastructure) Mission, even in the face of meager resources.
While defending the budget proposals for the year 2023, each department explicated the need for the various proposed expenditures to complement the efforts of the present administration.
In order to get inclined with the new modus operandi in the budgetary sphere, Deputy Director Planning, Mr Adeniyi Adeleke, lectured the participant on “The New Budget Template”. Adeleke highlighted several adjustments that have been made to the budget template and advised on the need to adhere to the provisos.
Likewise, in a bid to ensure seamless revenue collection and generation, the Managing Director, Elfort & Associates Mr Aare delivered a lecture on ‘Contactless payment for levy collection using Paycode’. The lecture was borne out of the need to activate hassle-free revenue collection and rates payment process through cashless and digitalized processes.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Odunmbaku noted that the success recorded by his administration could not have been possible without the inputs from all stakeholders.
The retreat was concluded with a fun-filled gala night, which was held in order to further foster bondness/harmonious relationship amongst the participants as they prepare for the commencement of a successful 2023 fiscal year.
