Ojodu Mayor, Hon Odunmbaku Meets With APC Ethnic Groups

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon Segun Odunmbaku, today hosted a stakeholders meeting with Ojodu APC ethnic and interest groups at the Council Secretariat in Oke Ira, Ogba. 

Hon. Segun Odunmbaku had the meeting with the various ethnic caucus of the party to intimate and invite them on the forthcoming carnival to showcase the cultural diversity of Ojodu community and most importantly implore them on working harmoniously towards the general elections next year.

The Ojodu Mayor emphasized the importance of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s candidacy based on track record performance and legacy of laying down the template and foundation for the development of Lagos, which enabled it to become the fourth largest economy in Africa while stressing the benefits that would accrue to Lagos like the “Special Economic Status”, Federal recognition for Lagos
LCDAs and other benefits as campaigned by Asiwaju based on his manifesto.

Odunmbaku also spoke on why Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu needs to be reelected based on his plans like the light rail and 4th Mainland Bridge for better intermodal transport system. He equally campaigned for Dr Idiat Adebule based on gender representation and inclusion while Faleke should be voted for based on empowerment of constituents and Adedamola Kasunmu based on legislative experience.

The Council boss promised bountiful welfare packages for the interest groups during the yuletide and the commitment of his administration to bring all segments of the Ojodu community together regardless of tribe, religion or ethnicity.

Hon. Balogun, on behalf of the Apex Leaders, corroborated the Mayor in appreciating the interests groups and implored them to continue to contribute towards the interest of the party while Mrs. Olusanya spoke about how more community engagements with security agencies would be organized especially on the restive Okada issue and prayed that efforts by all stakeholders towards the elections would be realized.

The Arewa leader, Alhaji Umaru, on behalf of the Arewa community, praised the Mayor for carrying the interest groups along. He pledged full allegiance and unconditional support to the party and its candidates while the representatives of Lagos Kogi Political Movement, South South Union and Ndigbo promised their loyal support and votes for Asiwaju Tinubu while saying that the elections is like payback for the sense of belonging accorded to them in Lagos.

The Chairman pledged his readiness to champion the cause of addressing the issues and concerns raised by the interest groups to make sure most of it are resolved as soon as possible and guaranteed his open door policy towards all community stakeholders always as he promised during his campaign.

In attendance at the meeting were the SLG, Hon. Olaide John Bello, Councillors from all six wards, Supervisor For Health, Hon. Seye Oyekan, Hon. Yomi Balogun and Mrs. Olusanya representing Apex Leaders, DPO of Ojodu Division and representative Of FRSC, Ms Malomo.
