Huge attention was drawn by the Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, Hon Segun Odunmbaku, in a landmark moment on Friday, 12th December, 2025, at the 10th Lagos Public Relations Industry Gala Awards (LAPRIGA).
The epoch making event was held at the prestigious MUSON Centre on Lagos Island.
At the high-profile event, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, was conferred with the Grassroots Governance Excellence Award. He emerged as the only Local Government Chairman in Lagos State to receive the distinguished honour at this year’s ceremony.
Hon. Odunmbaku was recognised for his impactful, youth-driven and technology-focused leadership style, which has continued to redefine grassroots governance. His administration’s strong emphasis on innovation, community empowerment and digital transformation has positioned Ojodu LCDA as a reference point for effective and modern local governance in Lagos State.
The award was received on his behalf by the former Secretary to the LCDA, Hon. Olaide John Bello, who stood in for him at the ceremony.
