Olaosebikan, in a statement issued by his media office in Lagos on Tuesday, was reacting to the sudden death of the Tribune Correspondent, Tijani Adeyemi, who slumped and died recently.

He, however, said such a gesture will go a long way to help the family of the deceased in case of eventuality.

Olaosebikan offers prayers for the repose of the soul of Adeyemi and the fortitude for the family and his loved ones to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Olaosebikan also urged members of the public to endeavour to have annual medical check up at standard medical establishment.

He explained that regular check of blood pressure can safe lives, and also checking blood sugar level often to prevent diabetes and sudden health complications.

“I urge Nigerians to reduce stress because stress is the mother of distress. Stress level should be reduced at various levels from individual, to family, community, organization and institutional level “Nigerians should also take healthy foods always to enjoy strong and optimum health to mitigate the effects of daily stress and exhaustion from work and daily activities,” he added.
