Oloworo Of Oworo Hails Peaceful Polls In Lagos

His Royal Majesty, Kabiesi Oloworo of Oworo kingdom, Oba Babatunde Saliu has commended the election process across Kosofe Local Government and Oworoshoki in particular.

The first-class monarch said the election process has been impressive and also commendable in terms of turnout of the electorates and also on the part of officials of Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).

His Royal Majesty noted that it is a good news of hope fulfillment that the ancestral land called Lagos which had been in existence for almost a thousand century will be taken another newest shape of greater excellence and greater upliftment in governance in the next administration.

His Majesty who cast his vote joyfully and peacefully at the polling unit in Oworoshoki said the indigenes of Lagos have been accommodating and embracing from inception.

He, therefore, urge people to continue to perform their civic responsibilities as that will determine their future for another four to eight years.

He said he is happy that the outcome of the election favours the rightful candidate who will continue with the good innovative works of progress in Lagos state.

He commended the government of Lagos state as the metropolitan state continues to take a progressive transformation at every phase and stage in the last two decades.

The humble monarch concluded that victory has always been for Lagos and to those who own Lagos ancestrally..

“I can see another song of victory that is being sang again after this election as our land Lagos brings nothing but good fortune and excellence which makes us stands out among many. Lagos is an ancestral land of the Aworis with its own unique sophistication which remains non negotiable . It is not a testing ground nor an experiment cycle that will be handled with levity. But we hope for more peace ,good prospects and goodness for our land Lagos continually,” he said.

Kabiesi Oloworo also used the medium to congratulate the President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who will be sworn in officially come May 29th. 2023.

He said after a very long time, Lagos state will be experiencing a brand new hope of progressive excellence with the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the President-elect in the recenty concluded presidential election.
