Olukoya Splashes N3.7m On Dominion Cup At Ebute- Metta

 The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM Dr D.K Olukoya has donated the sum of N3.7 million for the winners of the ongoing free age and U-15 football competition taking place at the Evans Square playground, Ebute- Metta, Lagos.

 The competition which started on Sunday was sponsored by MFM to take youth away from social vices and also for the discovery of the hidden talents in Ebute- Metta and its environs.

 At the Draw conference held recently, Chairman Organizing Committee, John Adeoye disclosed that 16 teams have registered for the free age competition so far while eight teams involved in U-15 football competition.

He said the winners will go home with the sum of N1 million, while the first runner up and second runner up will go home with the sum of N750,000 and N500,000 respectively.

 In U-15 category, the winner will go home with the sum of N750, 000, while first and second position would receive 500,000 and N250,000 respectively.Adeoye urged the participating teams to play the game according to the rules and regulations saying that any team violates the rules would be sanctioned accordingly.

“We are urging our players and coaches not to take law into their hands because this competition is not a do or die affairs. Of course the money involves is too much but we should prepare and pray for the luck instead of taking law into your hands. I wish all the teams best of luck in their outings,” he said.

 Adeoye thanked Dr Olukoya for his kind gesture and promised that the competition would be free from violence and hooliganism.

Football Based FC defeated AZ United 4-2 on penalty shootouts after one goal apiece at the regulation time in the opening match.
