A detailed investigative work has unveiled the highly commendable performance of the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule.

The Senator’s sojourn in the Red Chamber has shown that the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State has galvanised remarkable people-oriented projects to her constituents.

Documented constituency projects facilitated by Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule have countered claims questioning her performance as the representative of Lagos West Senatorial District, with interventions spanning education, healthcare, youth empowerment, skills acquisition and community development across the district.

Since assuming office, the Senator has facilitated and attracted projects to Alimosho, Ojo, Badagry, Mushin, Oshodi-Isolo, Ifako-Ijaiye and Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Areas, alongside empowerment programmes targeting thousands of constituents.

Among the educational interventions is the construction and commissioning of a six-classroom block at State Primary School, Mafoluku, Oshodi, as well as the facilitation of a 36-classroom block at Awodi-Ora Primary School in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area.

The education drive also extended to St. Michael’s Primary School in Ojo, which benefited from infrastructure support aimed at improving the learning environment.

In the healthcare sector, Adebule facilitated the construction of a 40-bed Renewed Hope Public Health Centre at Ojokoro in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area.

She also facilitated the ongoing construction of a Primary Health Centre at Igbolobi, a riverine community in Ojo Local Government Area, to improve access to quality healthcare for residents.

As part of efforts to tackle unemployment and promote self-reliance, the senator facilitated the establishment of a Skills Acquisition Training Centre at Damigoro, Mushin, while work is progressing on the Badagry Youth Development and Skills Acquisition Centre.

The interventions are aimed at equipping youths and women with vocational and digital skills to enhance entrepreneurship and employment opportunities.

To boost commercial activities, Adebule also facilitated the construction of locked-up shops at Amikanle, Pipeline area of Agbado-Oke Odo Local Council Development Area in Alimosho.

Beyond infrastructure, the Senator has sustained large-scale empowerment programmes across the district.

In 2024, she empowered 1,000 constituents under her Mega Empowerment Programme through the distribution of tools, equipment and support packages.

The initiative was expanded in 2025 with another Mega Empowerment Programme that benefited 1,000 constituents drawn from communities across Lagos West Senatorial District.

The Senator also organised the maiden edition of the Lagos West Women’s Assembly and Cash Empowerment Programme in 2025, providing financial support and economic empowerment opportunities for women across the district.

Apart from these, over 1,000 streetlights have been installed across the Senatorial District.

Many residents of the Senator who spoke to this writer maintain that the spread of projects across education, healthcare, skills development, market infrastructure and empowerment demonstrates a sustained commitment to improving the welfare of constituents.

They argue that public assessment of elected representatives should be based on verifiable projects, constituency engagement and measurable impact on the lives of the people.

With political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gradually gathering momentum, Adebule’s supporters insist that her record of completed and ongoing projects provides a factual basis for evaluating her performance as Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District.

The road to victories for the President and Senator Adebule cannot be clearer than it is now. They have been good Ambassadors of our great party and Nigerians know this.
