ONC Commends Ahoada East Chairman Hon. Solomon Abuba Ochoma For One Year Of Impactful Leadership*

The Orashi National Congress, ONC, has commended the Executive Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area, Hon. Solomon Abuba Ochoma, for his exemplary leadership and developmental strides within one year in office.

In a Letter of Commendation dated September 26, 2026, and signed by its President General, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe JP, AP, the ONC said Hon. Ochoma has redefined grassroots governance in Ahoada East through purposeful, people-oriented and visionary leadership.

 

The letter was issued on behalf of the National Executive Council, Board of Trustees, Council of Traditional Rulers, Women and Youth Wings, and the entire sons and daughters of Orashi Nation at home and in the diaspora.

According to the Congress, the Chairman’s people-driven projects include:

1. Massive road grading and rehabilitation across communities
2. Renovation and equipping of primary healthcare centres
3. Improvement of the education sector through school renovations
4. Youth empowerment and skills acquisition programmes
5. Restoration of security and peace-building efforts
6. Environmental sanitation and beautification of Ahoada Main Town
7. Commitment to transparency, inclusiveness and prompt payment of workers’ entitlements

The ONC noted that the achievements, recorded within one year despite economic challenges, show that Hon. Ochoma came prepared for governance and that the mandate given to him by the people of Ahoada East was not misplaced.

“As the apex socio-cultural body of Orashi Nation, the ONC is proud to identify with your administration. You have made Orashi proud. You have proven that with sincerity and commitment, Local Government can indeed be a true tier of development,” the letter stated.

The Congress therefore passed a vote of confidence on his leadership and encouraged him to remain focused and continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

It further pledged its unalloyed support and partnership to his administration for the continued peace, unity and progress of Ahoada East and Orashi Nation at large.

The letter was copied to the Governor of Rivers State, the Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, the Member representing Ahoada East/Abua-Odual Federal Constituency, the Speaker of Ahoada East Legislative Council, and the Chairman, Traditional Rulers Council, Ahoada East.
