The President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress (ONC), Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, has commended the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, for her bold, strategic and people-oriented leadership following her successful mobilisation tour of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Amb. Ibe described Prof. Odu’s call on the people of ONELGA to massively embrace the APC as a timely and progressive move aimed at consolidating political unity, strengthening governance, and aligning Rivers State with the centre for accelerated development.

According to him, the Deputy Governor’s grassroots sensitisation across the six zones of ONELGA—Egi, Omoku, Osomini, Igburu, Egbema and Ndoni—demonstrates her deep connection with the people and her unwavering commitment to the political vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

> “The Orashi National Congress strongly commends Prof. Ngozi Odu for this courageous and well-coordinated mobilisation. Her decision to formally align with the APC and encourage the people to do same is a clear indication of her loyalty to purposeful leadership, political stability and the development aspirations of Rivers people,” Amb. Ibe stated.

He further applauded the mass defection of Labour Party members in Ndoni to the APC, describing it as a vote of confidence in the leadership of Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the inclusive governance style being promoted by the current administration.

Amb. Emeni Ibe reaffirmed the total and unwavering support of the Orashi people for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that Orashi Nation remains firmly committed to the success of their leadership and to the re-election project come 2027.

“Orashi people are fully aligned with Governor Fubara’s vision of peace, development and good governance. We stand solidly with the Deputy Governor and reaffirm our total support for this political direction now and beyond 2027,” he added.

The Orashi National Congress called on all well-meaning citizens of Rivers State to embrace unity, political participation and peaceful engagement in order to deepen democracy and accelerate development across the state.
