The President General of notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress (ONC), Ambassador Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, has strongly condemned the killing of the Omoku Zone OSPAC Commander, Comrade Ozoemela Stephen Wokocha, who was reportedly shot dead alongside three women by unknown gunmen in Omoku Community, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of Rivers State.

In a statement issued on behalf of the leadership and members of the Congress, Ambassador Ibe described the attack as barbaric, senseless, and a serious threat to the peace and security of the Orashi region.

He expressed deep concern over the recurring incidents of violent attacks in the area, stressing that the loss of innocent lives is unacceptable and must not be allowed to continue.

The ONC President General called on the Rivers State Government, the Chairman of ONELGA, and all relevant security agencies to immediately intensify efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and restore law and order in Omoku and its surrounding communities.

According to him, “The safety of our people must remain a top priority. We urge the government and security agencies to act swiftly by bringing the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice and strengthening security measures to prevent further attacks.”

Ambassador Ibe further appealed to residents to remain calm, law-abiding, and cooperate with security agencies by providing credible information that could aid investigations.

He also extended the heartfelt condolences of the Orashi National Congress to the families of Comrade Ozoemela Stephen Wokocha and the three women who lost their lives in the tragic incident, praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear the painful loss.
