The leadership of notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC,  has extended warm and resounding congratulations to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on his well-deserved recognition as New Telegraph Man of the Year.
In a congratulatory statement issued after an emergency leadership session, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, described the honour as “a loud and undeniable endorsement of purposeful governance, courage under pressure, and people-centered leadership”.
According to the group, Governor Fubara has, within a short span in office, demonstrated uncommon resilience, administrative dexterity, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Rivers people. The ONC noted that his leadership style—calm yet firm, strategic yet compassionate—has repositioned governance in Rivers State and restored confidence in public institutions.
“Governor Fubara represents a new face of transformational leadership—one anchored on transparency, inclusiveness, infrastructural renewal, youth empowerment, and economic stability,” the ONC stated.
The ONC further described him as a leader, who has refused to be distracted by political turbulence, choosing instead to focus on delivering dividends of democracy across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state. From infrastructural rebirth to civil service reforms and strategic investments in education and healthcare, ONC is of the view that the governor has proven that leadership is about service, not noise.
The Orashi National Congress, ONC, equally declared its unalloyed loyalty and total support for the Fubara-led administration, vowing to continue mobilizing at the grassroots to consolidate his achievements and defend the mandate freely given to him by Rivers people.
“We stand firmly with Governor Siminalayi Fubara. His vision is our mission. His success is the collective victory of Rivers State,” the group affirmed.
The ONC also commended New Telegraph for recognising excellence in public service and for identifying Governor Fubara as a shining example of responsible and impactful leadership in Nigeria.
“By conferring this prestigious award on our Governor, New Telegraph has once again demonstrated commitment to objective journalism and national development,” the ONC PG, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe added.
The leadership of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, reiterated that the award is not just a personal honour to the Governor but a proud moment for the entire people of Rivers State.
