The Orashi National Congress, ONC, an independent sociocultural umbrella, has pledged their cooperation and support during a familiarisation visit to CP Olatunji Disu, the new Commissioner of Police in Rivers State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the visit to the Commissioner of Police by the ONC was led by Most Snr. Comrade Emeni Ibe, the President General, on Tuesday 12th December, 2023.
Most Snr. Comrade Ibe told newsmen that the visit was in appreciation of CP Olatunji Disu’s faithful discharge of duties as the Rivers Police boss towards the promotion of security, healthy cohesion and peaceful coexistence within the state and for ensuring efficiency in policing.
The group used the opportunity the visit afforded to pledge their cooperation and total support to the Commissioner of Police. The ONC also hinted the Police boss about the security summit coming up on 21st December, 2023, in Ahoada Town, where he is expected to attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
While thanking him specifically for visiting Ahoada upon resumption of duty as the Commissioner of Police, the group requested for the total overhaul of the Ahoada Divisional Headquarters in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the discharge of security responsibilities.
