The leadership of the Orashi National Congress (ONC), led by its President General, Ambassador Emeni Ibe, paid a courtesy visit to the management of Nigeria Info 92.3FM Port Harcourt on Thursday, 16th October, 2025.

The visit, according to Ambassador Ibe, was aimed at strengthening the cordial relationship between the Orashi region and the media, as well as seeking collaboration ahead of the second edition of the Orashi Peace, Unity, and Security Summit, scheduled to hold on 21st November, 2025, in Ahoada Town.

Speaking during the visit, Amb. Ibe noted that the Orashi National Congress represents the collective interest of the people of Abua/Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West, and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas of Rivers State. He emphasized that the congress is committed to promoting peace, unity, and industrial harmony across the region and beyond.

He further commended the management of Nigeria Info for its outstanding contribution to public enlightenment, responsible journalism, and balanced reportage over the years. In recognition of this, the Orashi National Congress presented a Certificate of Excellence to Nigeria Info 92.3FM Port Harcourt for its dedication to professionalism and its positive impact on society.

Amb. Ibe appealed to the station’s management to partner with the Congress in its forthcoming programmes, particularly the Orashi Peace, Unity, and Industrial Harmony Campaign Summit, urging the media to continue playing its vital role in fostering development and promoting good governance.

Responding, the Station Manager, Mr. Carl Orakwue, expressed gratitude to the Orashi National Congress for the recognition and assured them of the station’s readiness to support and collaborate on initiatives that promote peace, development, and public awareness.

The courtesy visit, which was attended by members of the Orashi National Congress executive council, ended on a note of mutual respect and commitment to partnership between the Congress and the media in advancing the collective progress of Rivers State.
