Ondo Deputy Gov Drums Support For Ayedatiwa, Inaugurates Owo LGA Campaign Council

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, southwest Nigeria, Dr. Olayide Owolabi Omilani has called on members of the newly inaugurated Owo Local Government Campaign Council and Campaign Committee for the electoral success of Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa to work as a team as this will guarantee the desired victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

The Owo LGA Campaign Council Committee and Campaign Committee were inaugurated by the Deputy Governor on Sunday in a well-attended meeting held in Owo.

According to a press statement by the Chairman of the Media Committee of the Campaign Council, Mr Olatunbosun Oladimeji, the Deputy Governor charged members of the Council to be more committed, resilient and trustworthy in the discharge of the assignments bestowed on them, even as he called for mutual cooperation and teamwork.
The Deputy Governor also charged the leaders to make sure Owo Local Government Council Area scores above 70,000 votes in the forthcoming election.

To show a leader leading by example, the Deputy Governor who is the Chairman of Owo Local Government Campaign Council ordered the commencement of the Ward Meetings with sponsorship of two of the meetings.

After the inauguration of the Campaign Council, the Director- General of the Council, Dr Akin Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa, directed the Chairmen and Secretaries of the various Committees to inaugurate their respective Campaign Committees and develop a blueprint towards achieving All Progressive Congress (APC)’s target in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

To the Director General of the Campaign Council, Owo Local Government Council Area must proof that Owo is the home of the progressive in the Southwest.

Meanwhile, the Campaign Council has swung into action to mobilise support for votes ahead of the election with an aggressive mobilisation drive at the grassroots.

In attendance at the inauguration meeting were party leaders who included Chief Femi Osedimbola, Alhaji Yunusa Adeola, Hon. Femi Idris, Chairman Local Government Civil Service commission, Chief J.T. Adeleye, Commander of Ondo State Amotekun Security Network, Honourable Kolawole Olawoye, former Ondo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Femi Adekanmbi, a former Ondo State Commissioner for Special Duties, Gbenga Ale, former Chief of Staff to the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Princess Funmilayo Ademulegun, Commissioner II, Ondo State SUBEB, Mr Olusanya Balogun, Chairman, APC Owo Local Government, Alhaji Jamiu Ekongba, BOT member of APC, Hon. Lad Alaba Ojomo and Hon. Eni Omosule, both former Members of House Representatives.
