Onigando Cup Draws Hold In Lagos

The much awaited draws for the Oba Onigando Football fiesta will hold this week  Wednesday at the palace ground of Oba Onigando of Igando land, Oba Lasisi Gbadamonsi.
The tournament is being organised to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the traditional ruler who has spent forty years on the throne.
Aside football, there are some sporting activities lined up for the weeklong anniversary. These include such as ram fight, Ludo game, and others.
A member of the sports committee for the anniversary, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamonsi said all arrangements have been put in place for the draws ceremony. He warned that all he teams should pay for the registration forms
Gbadamonsi disclosed that they have contacted the Lagos State Referee Society and Lagos State Football Association to give them technical support to make the tournament a memorable one for the participants.
“Of course we have started working now to make sure that the Onigando Cup attracts football clubs from various local governments in Lagos. We can only achieve that if we do the needful.. So we are urging interested teams to come for their registration forms before the closing date,” he said.
