The Permanent Chairman of the Southern Nigerian Traditional Rulers Council (SNTRC), Arole Oodua Olofin Adimula and the Natural Head of the Oduduwa race worldwide, the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, has celebrated his son, Prince Ademakinwa Ogunwusi, as the young prince clocks two years old.
Prince Ademakinwa, son of the Ooni and Queen Ashley Ogunwusi, attained the milestone on Thursday, September 3, 2026, with the Ooni expressing gratitude to Olodumare for the gift of his life and the joy he has brought to the royal family.
The Ooni stated this on Thursday morning in a statement by the Senior Media Officer, Ooni’s Palace, Sodiq Lawal, on behalf of the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni’s Palace, Otunba Moses Olafare.
In a heartfelt birthday message, the Ooni described the young prince as a precious blessing and prayed for him to grow in wisdom, good health, character and grace.
The Ooni who is also the Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) also invoked ancestral blessings upon Prince Ademakinwa, praying that the spirit and heritage of Oduduwa would continue to guide and protect him as he grows.
The Ooni said the prince’s journey would be marked by divine favour, purpose and fulfilment, adding that he would grow into a man worthy of the heritage and responsibilities associated with the House of Oduduwa.
He said, “Today, we celebrate a special blessing and a beautiful gift from Almighty Olodumare. My dear son, Prince Ademakinwa, you are two today, and my heart is filled with gratitude and joy.
“May you continue to grow under the protection and guidance of Olodumare. May wisdom, knowledge, good health, favour and grace accompany you all the days of your life.
“May the blessings of our ancestors and the enduring spirit of Oduduwa continue to guide your steps. May you grow to become a man of great character, compassion and purpose.
“May you inherit the strength, wisdom and courage of those who came before you, and may you use your life to bring honour to your family, our people and humanity.
“As your father, I pray that Almighty Olodumare will light your path, order your steps and surround you with people who will guide you towards greatness.”
The Ooni further prayed for divine protection over his son, asking Olodumare to preserve him from harm and grant him a long, peaceful and fulfilling life.
He also expressed appreciation for Queen Ashley Ogunwusi, the prince’s mother, for her love, care and dedication to their son.
The Ooni concluded his message with warm words for the young prince, saying: “Happy 2nd birthday, my beloved son. May your life be long, fruitful and filled with countless reasons to smile. Daddy loves you dearly.”
