Ooni Congratulates Olubukola Babajide On MBE Award, Describes Her As Pride Of Nigeria

The Permanent Chairman of the Southern Nigerian Traditional Rulers Council (SNTRC), Arole Oodua Olofin Adimula and the Natural Head of the Oduduwa race worldwide, the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, has congratulated renowned Nigerian technology entrepreneur, business strategist and inclusion advocate, Olubukola Moyo Babajide, on her appointment as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom.
Babajide, Founder of Crystal Options Ltd and Female Techpreneur, was named in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours List and recognized for her outstanding services to technology, business and inclusion.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni’s Palace, Otunba Moses Olafare, the Ooni who is also the Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN)  described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Babajide’s years of dedication, innovation and commitment to empowering individuals and communities through technology and entrepreneurship.
The foremost African monarch hailed Babajide as a shining example of Nigerian excellence whose achievements continue to project the country’s positive image on the global stage.
“Olubukola Babajide’s recognition as a Member of the Order of the British Empire is a source of immense pride not only to Nigerians at home and abroad but also to the entire African continent. Her remarkable contributions to technology, business development and social inclusion have earned her this prestigious honour and have demonstrated the limitless potential of Nigerians when given the opportunity to excel,” the Ooni stated.
Ooni Ogunwusi commended Babajide for her unwavering commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the technology ecosystem, while creating opportunities for women, young professionals and underrepresented groups to thrive in the digital economy.
According to the Ooni, her accomplishments serve as an inspiration to the younger generation, particularly young women aspiring to build successful careers in science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Ooni further noted that Babajide’s journey reflects the values of hard work, resilience, excellence and service to humanity, virtues that continue to earn global recognition and respect.
While praying for greater accomplishments in her future endeavours, the Ooni urged her to continue using her influence and expertise to promote innovation, economic empowerment and sustainable development across Africa and beyond.
He expressed confidence that the prestigious MBE honour would further strengthen Babajide’s resolve to champion transformative initiatives capable of positively impacting lives and communities across the world.
The Ooni concluded by encouraging Nigerians in the diaspora to remain worthy ambassadors of their homeland, stressing that the success of distinguished individuals such as Olubukola Babajide reinforces Nigeria’s reputation as a nation blessed with exceptional talents and visionary leaders.
