Orashi National Congress Celebrates Gov Fubara’s Supreme Court Victory

The Orashi National Congress, ONC, being the mouthpiece of the Orashi people, has organised a celebration rally in honour of the victory of the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara and the Deputy, Prof Ngozi Odu, at the Supreme Court.
At the event held in Ahoada, the ONC said that the ruling of the Apex Court is an affirmation of the mandate given to Sir Siminalayi Fubara by the Rivers people. And that Fubara has remained steadfast with his unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of Rivers State.
While speaking at the celebration rally, the ONC President General, Snr Comrade Comrade Emeni Ibe and Secretary General, Joseph Odudu, maintained that peace and security are indispensable ingredients for development while stating that all acts of political aggression and violence must be condemned. They therefore, charged all political actors to follow the paths of peace for the sake of Rivers people.
The Orashi National Congress acknowledged and commended the efforts and commitment of His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara to take Rivers State to new levels of sustainable peace, security, progress and prosperity in accordance with the unique blueprint for responsible governance.
“We hereby state unequivocally that we stand by and support all the actions and policies of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.”
“We also acknowledge Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike, the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his political leadership. We charge him to bring home laudable laurels and have his name imprinted in a wider space than Rivers State. We therefore, urge him to deploy his drive and passion to the tasks of his current office.”
“We at ONC call on the respected elders of our dear state, revered traditional rulers, respected political actors and the generality of Rivers people to lend total support to our Governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara.”
“We once again congratulate Sir Siminalayi Fubara and his Deputy, Prof Ngozi Odu, on the affirmation of their electoral victory by the Apex Court of the land.
We equally use this opportunity to call on the Honourable members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, especially the lawmakers from the Orashi Region, to work with Governor Fubara for the overall good of our dear state.”
“We hereby state our irrevocable resolve to support Governor Siminalayi Fubara in the discharge of his Constitutional duties, particularly the Oath to in all circumstances do right to all manner of people according to the Law.”
“With this affirmation by the Supreme Court, we have great hope for greater development, social harmony and economic prosperity for our dear state.”
“The Orashi National Congress wish to also state that we are very proud of our Orashi daughter and Deputy Governor, Prof Ngozi Odu, for her loyalty and support to Governor Fubara. We equally appreciate President Bola Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his fatherly disposition to the issues about Rivers State.”
